[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]Character Name: Rosenose
Character Age: 12 moons
Gender: She-cat
Alliance: ThunderClan
Rank: Warrior
Appearance:
With a naturally gentle and welcoming appearance, Rosenose is born rather petite for her age, even though she has been her entire life. Her bones are brittle and her frame is fragile; it took her longer to learn to walk than her other siblings. Her rounded, wide eyes appear as green orbs with flecks of brown around the edges of the iris and right near her pupils. Her pelt, short and smooth, is lustrous against the sunlight, the vibrant cinnamon hue darkening around the main points of her body.
A lighter coat lies around her sides and legs, while the fur around her stomach and tail is lengthier. A mask of white covers the pigment around her muzzle, up between her eyes, on her chest and stomach, all four of her paws, and along the tip of her tail. Unlike the rest of her colored fur, the white is much duller than the bright cinnamon that lies around it. Her nose, unlike most cat's, is a bright pink color instead of a dull orange or pink color. This is how she got her name.
Personality:
It's the easiest thing to note the traits that you show towards everyone - especially if you know who you are, and where you belong. Sometimes, it can be a bit more difficult when you're in the process of discovering what your purpose is, and who you want to be known as to those around you. Some make conscious decisions to act a certain way, while some traits come naturally to them. One can only hope that their true traits are positive, but more often than not, they are negative.
From birth to adulthood, Rosenose has shown the tendency to put other's needs before her own. For example, she would often give up her spot under her mother's warmth so her sibling would be comfortable. She tends to put herself in uncomfortable situations to make sure another around her feels safe and secure.
She doesn't think very highly of herself - in fact, she tells herself how bad of a job she's doing and how she should do better. She's never been an optimist, and she doesn't ever think that she'll find happiness. These thoughts usually lead her to work harder or find something to keep her busy. Usually, the only way to make her feel confident or happy is to give her positive reinforcement. When working, she's very conscientious; she's always prepared and makes sure that all of her work is done correctly, and that she doesn't miss anything along the way.
Warm-hearted and sympathetic, Rosenose is always looking to give the best advice to those in need. She's not argumentative, and is rather open-minded, even when a situation may be uncomfortable for her. She tends to live her life busily rather than leisurely, and is always on the move, whether it be to hunt or to do her daily patrols.

History:
It wasn't at all a complicated situation that brought Rosenose into the world. Both loners at the time, her mother had befriended her father from a young age, and over the years they grew closer. Soon enough, they were convinced that they were in love with each other -- and so they had a litter together. It was after that Rosenose was born that things got a bit interesting. Her mother and father began arguing, which would be considered normal for couples by most standards. After a few weeks of the verbal fighting, things started to get physical. Her father would swat at her mother, and then one day he blinded her permanently.
She attacked him with vision in only one eyes, took a piece of his ear off, and chased him off into the forest. With two kittens and one eyes, her mother traveled through the forest until she couldn't walk anymore. It was then that a ThunderClan cat found her mother exhausted with two crying kittens, and brought them back to the clan camp, where they were given food and shelter for the night. After resting, her mother practically begged the leader to let them join the clan, explaining their situation. Raised in ThunderClan, Rosenose had no memories from her time as a loner, probably because she was so young.
She caught her first mouse when wandering out of the nursery when she was four moons old. She'd cornered it between trees and fallen debris, caught it by the tail, and brought it back to the center of the camp with pride. Of course, her mother was upset that she'd wandered away without her permission, but there was still the gleam of pride for her daughter's first catch.
Her early apprentice years seemed to go by faster than her kitten years. Throughout the six moons of training she went through, she learned how to hunt, fight and most importantly, how to climb trees. This skill came in handy when she was about eight moons old, and she was chased through the forest by a badger while her mentor was distracted by an unrecognized scent. Of course, her mentor noticed it after a few seconds, and chased after the two. Rosenose climbed straight up the nearest tree and was able to jump from branch to branch to escape the enraged badger.
Not too long ago, Rosepaw became Rosenose, and is currently awaiting an apprentice.
Roleplay Sample:
Nothing was out of the ordinary. The darkened sky was illuminated by the lucent moon, which appeared to be cut in half. It was nights like these where Rosenose wondered why the glowing orb in the sky went through these phases throughout each passing moon. Were the ancestors in StarClan responsible for this phenomenon? Or was there a better explanation for why the moon would suddenly be cut in half, and then return to its full form, during the duration of each month?
The tabbied she-cat quickly inhaled, the smell of the leafbare forest overwhelming her senses. Paws kneaded into the chilled dirt ground. A shiver ran up her spine, the fur on the back of her neck standing straight up. "Why does the forest have leaf-bare? It doesn't seem to help the well-being of the clan cats," she murmured to herself, scraping her sharpened claws through the thin, sorrel ground.
Standing up, Rosenose stepped forward, extending her legs out in front of her as she stretched, a silent yawn escaping her mouth. Sleep was essential for a warrior, but ever since the cooler weather had came in, she found herself lying awake until the late night hours. She would awake in the morning to blurry vision and lowered senses. How could she ever fulfill her clan duties if she couldn't get a whole night sleep? Turning towards her left, she padded towards the entrance of the warrior den, where she noted the decaying rabbits and voles lying off to the side.
Maybe if the weather would warm up, even if just by a few degrees, she would have an easier time falling asleep -- but she highly doubted that she would be able to.
